Innovative online webcast spotlights new music from a
time-tested format
Continuing in the tradition set forth by
the pioneering 1960s television rock shows Boss City, The Real Don
Steele Show and heading into the ‘70s with The Midnight Special
and Don Kirshner’s Rock Show, Hothouse Rehearsal Studios has unveiled
a new music video webcast series titled The Saturday Music Showcase.
Each episode features a live performance
with an up-and-coming band, and includes an in-studio audience of invited
guests. The episodes will also feature interviews with both audience and
band members.
With eight episodes already available for
viewing and several scheduled for future release, Rehearsal TV hopes to make
this series a regular part of its video production setup, eventually ramping
production from a monthly to a weekly basis. “We’re working to create a show
like a regular network prime time series, where each Saturday a new episode
would become available and people can check in each week and expect a new
episode”.
