Previously seen whipping up a storm on
the Taste of Chaos tour alongside the Deftones, Atreyu,
Thrice and Story of the Year. Take the Crown embarked on a
showcasing tour in the UK. Upon their return from the
England, Take the Crown hit the road again on an east coast
tour with the LOST PROPHETS in October and November.
Their story is not an unfamiliar one. Bonded by a shared
love of The Refused, Blink 182 (and yes, they're proud to
admit it!) and bowling the perfect strike, six friends got
together in 2004 to play music.... But what makes this story
different? The music is actually worth listening to. It's
not pretending to be sunshine and lollipops and conversely,
it's not pretending to be miserable and self-harm for
attention either. No gimmicks. No pretence. Just damn fine
rock.
After extensive West Coast touring with such notable and
eclectic artists as Saosin, AFI, Tiger Army, A Static
Lullaby and 18 Visions, Take The Crown are now breaking out
with an awesome Chris Sorensen (SAOSIN) produced EP that
perfectly illustrates their ability to couple huge hooks and
stadium sized sing-a-longs. Their upcoming full length album
is in progress.f
The last 18 months has seen Take The Crown whip up a
colossal storm without any label or management backing. But
now, with solid management, a fantastic selling EP and a
host of high profile live shows, it is clear Take The Crown
is making a big noise that people clearly want to hear!
