October 2006, Liz Duenas
walked into Hothouse Rehearsal Studios in Santa Fe Springs
to meet Eddie, Martin and Frank of the newly formed rock
band downshove. Although, downshove is a new band on the
music scene, they are not new to rocking. Eddie, Martin and
Frank were formerly in the band “Degraded”, and Liz has a
long history as a solo artist, and was working with John
Avila (Oingo Boingo) prior to joining the band.
With this mix of talent downshove was
created, a high energy and in your face rock band. There is
no fluff in this band, just straight and pure music. “It was
bit of a challenge for me to fill the shoes of a formerly
male fronted band” said Duenas, “but “ya” challenge, what’s
the point of living without it”.
